How this program was assembled

Nothing silently slips off the reel.

The two-page IB Summer Watch List is the authority for inclusion and original genre placement. Every bullet is preserved as a source entry, including repeated titles and source spelling. A separate canonical record carries researched facts, so corrections never overwrite the list’s evidence.

The source also includes one limited series, The Haunting of Hill House. It remains represented and is clearly labeled rather than being silently discarded or misrepresented as a feature film.

Extraction

Two independent passes—one based on rendered page inspection and one based on structured text reconstruction—reconciled 150 bullets across 13 genre sections. Both found 149 unique normalized titles and the same repeated entry: Scarface.

Research

Release facts, people, art, trailers, and ratings are checked against named sources. A field is marked verified, conflicting, unavailable, or needing review. Unknown information stays unknown; it is never filled with a plausible guess. Teasers and “why watch” notes are original, concise, and spoiler-free.

Ratings

Scores retain their provider, type, scale, link, and checked date. Critic and audience scores are never blended into one anonymous number.

Poster images

Posters appear as reduced-resolution educational reference images for this temporary student program. They are optimized and served locally for speed and reliability, with source provenance retained on each film record. Copyright and trademarks remain with their respective owners.

Privacy and favorites

Saved films remain only in this browser’s local storage. There are no accounts, public lists, or user-rating profiles. This demonstration reads a precomputed static snapshot and has no deployed database or application backend.
